May 31 is World No Tobacco Day. It is organized by the World Health Organization to highlight the health and other risks associated with tobacco use, and to advocate effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption.

In support of World No Tobacco Day, the Cochrane Library is hosting a Special Collection highlighting a selection of new or recently updated clinically relevant Cochrane Reviews that look at possible ways to help people quit smoking, including behavioral and medical interventions and help from health workers and for specific populations, and at the benefits of quitting for people’s mental health. The Cochrane Reviews in this collection are maintained by the Cochrane Tobacco Addiction Group.
