Pharmacy service to stop smoking

Please call the pharmacy of your choice first to check how much support they currently offer.

Smoking cessation services at local pharmacies are free, friendly, and can greatly increase your chances of quitting. You are three times more likely to go out with support and nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).

These pharmacies offer this service to anyone living in Southampton or being a Southampton physician. You can contact them directly to chat through your options, no need to refer. They can offer free NRT and support in person or over the phone. They know it can be hard to break, and they are there to offer you the latest help to support you and use e-cigarettes.

GP operations

Some local GP operations now offer support to stop smoking, please contact your experience to see what is available.

Targeted Lung Health Inspections

People between the ages of 55 and 74 who are registered with a GP in Southampton and are current or former smokers will be invited for a lung health check-up. If you are eligible, pay attention to the letter inviting you to make an appointment for the next few months. If you think you may be eligible and have not yet been contacted, please talk to your doctor. Smoking cessation support will be offered as part of the lung health check-up.
