Quit Smoking Our service is a free confidential service that offers support and advice to local smokers who want to quit smoking or reduce the amount they smoke. We can also support and advise those who want to switch to vaping (e-cigarettes). During this time, we still offer support by phone, facetime or software.
This service is for smokers over the age of 12 who live or work in Vanna and Northeast Somerset. We also offer support to pregnant smokers through our Health and Pregnancy Consultants.

Our service offers free Local support for smokers over the age of 12 through individual, face-to-face or telephone counseling. This support can include help to either stop smoking completely, gradually reduce it before the date you quit, or to reduce the harm from smoking. When you get in touch, one of our kind and fully trained health improvement practitioners will talk to you about your options and help you create a plan to reach your goal.
The specialist service runs a series of graduation sessions at various community venues in Vanna and Northeast Somerset – please see our list of clinics and release times in the downloads section on the right side of this page. (temporarily stored)
If you get expert support, you are the Smoking Stop Service It is likely to leave 4 times more and leave.
We can also offer advice and support on e-cigarettes and vaping.
We offer a number of smoking cessation medications to help you quit smoking, including nicotine replacement therapy or Champix tablets (note that prescription charges may apply).
You can choose to get support and advice on smoking cessation from your own doctor practice or from most pharmacies that have a trained consultant in Bath and North East Somerset. Contact us for more information.

How much does this service cost?
This is an NHS-funded service and the service itself does not cost you anything. However, if you pay for your prescriptions, some of our medications may be subject to a small prescription fee.
