Support to exit

Our smoking cessation counselors offer sincere, non-judgmental advice and support throughout the country. While working with you, counselors can give you advice and information to help you overcome your cravings and change your smoking habits. Your counselor can also discuss a range of smoking cessation medications and help you choose the right one for you. Nicotine replacement therapy is available with a Champix and Zyban prescription. If you want to use an e-cigarette or an evaporator, we can still help you get rid of tobacco use. Let your counselor know that you have your own device and they can work with you to stop smoking.

Your first session will last 20-30 minutes and will take 10 minutes to complete the 12-week course. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most local smoking cessation services are delivered remotely

Support is available in most GP operations, as well as through Health Improvement Coaches.
